Collaborative notebooks and data apps, with an AI assistant.

Hex is a workspace for data teams: SQL, notebooks, and published data apps, with an AI assistant inside that workspace. It connects to the warehouses a team already uses.

Why this rank

Julius is for a file. Hex is for a team that already has a warehouse and wants the AI next to the notebook they maintain.

Best for

Analysts who need notebooks, SQL, and a published app.

Before you commit

  • It is priced for teams, which is the wrong shape for a one-off CSV.
  • The AI can write a query. Someone still has to know whether the query is right.
